Fry’s Art Studio (and wood shop)

Got some preliminary drawings from Marsh Harbour Architect….. it is taking form!   This morning we took these latest printouts and staked it out in the back yard.  VERY EXCITING!Here at Fry’s Fish Camp on Elbow Cay, there’s only one thing missing.   I currently lean a bed up against the wall and elbow my way into our second bedroom to paint (Reflections of a Sea Turtle, I love a Parade, How Do You Do?, Daddy’s Caddy to name a few born in that room).

But I have a better idea.

The design is above for a combo art studio/wood shop/storage room we will build in our backyard.

The left wing will be MINE for all my paint, brushes, canvases, works in progress, etc etc.  The middle section will be a RESTING PLACE.  I’m thinking a hanging bed with a fan.  The right wing will start with a storage closet, and finish out with Mark’s woodshop on the end.

Here’s the permit we got to build.

And, here’s a shot from our house to the building site:

I’ll have a wall inside my studio with the names of folks that collect a piece of my art and tell me they want the proceeds to go to the studio.  Big or small art, doesn’t matter.

So, if you do want to help build this studio, please email me or put a note on your order you’d like your name to be on the STUDIO PEEP WALL .

Everyone’s name will be a great inspiration when I “go to my room and paint”. Here’s a video of the site. Building Site Video
