Sabine and I took our sunfish sailboats to Cracker Peas the other day to meet the hubbies and grab lunch.   Then we sailed back to our respective homes, where I washed “Lizzy” down and good and left her to dry at the dock.  She’s a great boat with a great history, and pretty beautiful sails IMHO.  A real sweetheart!

This boat was a contestant in the Sunfish World Championships in Nassau in 2009 which is the reason for the beautiful yellow, blue and black colors as well as the island motif which is a trademark of the Bahamas. She’s been owned by two friends of mine, and once a honeybee colony was discovered in her cockpit when the cover was removed. Her name is Lizzy due to a gecko that hitched a ride on the boat during a Hope Town sailing race. So, now you know the whole story.
